Detail: Join us for the 2009 VA Veterans Day Parade at 11am on November 11. There will be more than 100 entries including large helium balloons, floats, military vehicles and marching bands. The parade begins at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center (7th Street & Indian School Roads in Phoenix) and heads north on 7th Street, west on Camelback and North on Central Avenue, ending at the North Phoenix Baptist Church at Bethany Home Road. Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars will serve as Veterans Grand Marshals for the parade, which has as its theme, "Home of the Free, Because of the Brave." Major sponsors of the parade are US Airways, Tri-West Healthcare Alliance, General Dynamics, Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Honeywell and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
